- Corporations Act and Trade Practices Act – all aspects of disputes arising under the Corporations Act 2001 and the Trade Practices Act 1974 including contract disputes, misleading and deceptive conduct claims, director duties and franchise agreement disputes

We also advise administrators, liquidators and creditors in the context of an external administration. In particular, we specialise in advising and conducting claims on behalf of liquidators, receivers, administrators, trustees, directors and shareholders pursuant to the Corporations Act 2001 and the Bankruptcy Act 1996. Our team provides advice on personal insolvency agreements, statutory demands, winding-up proceedings, unreasonable director-related transactions, unfair loans and preferences, voidable transactions and insolvent trading
- Intellectual property – protection of intellectual property rights and litigation involving breach of trademarks and copyright. Our clients operate in a broad range of industry sectors including technology and engineering, advertising and marketing, fashion and gaming
- Administrative law – We have an in-depth understanding of the administrative law and policy framework governing private and public organisations. We are experienced in conducting internal reviews and responding to various complaints under state and commonwealth legislation with respect to Freedom of Information, Privacy, Anti-discrimination and administrative decision making. This naturally extends to the management of such matters as and when they escalate to judicial review and determination before such jurisdictions as the Administrative Decisions Tribunal and the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, as well as the Administrative and equity divisions of the State and Federal Courts
- Debt recovery - we act for a variety of corporations, partnerships and sole traders in order to recover trading debts ranging from small claims for clients in the clothing, retail, marketing, services, film & television industries, to larger claims for various suppliers in the building and construction industry, as well as the recovery of substantial debts for financial institutions
