Personal and Professional Background
Keith has worked for insurers, self-insurers and fund managers for 30 years, primarily in the bodily injury field, irrespective of whether the claim arose by way of workers compensation, public or product liability, motor vehicle accident or by way of recovery. He also has a depth of knowledge in other areas including public and product liability generally, property claims, industrial matters and basically, all matters involving insurance.
Incidental to this work have been many advices, recommendations and reviews in relation to policies and their interpretation, indemnity issues, litigation strategies as well as audits of both the insurer and their insureds with a view to more effective and updated claims and risk management procedures.
With this background, Keith is fully aware of the historical developments which have driven the law in this area to reach the stage that it has, and by reason of this evolution, he has a firm grip on where the law is going and the dynamics of the philosophies of the appellate courts as well as those in control of legislative change.
